Privacy & Cookies

How Andrew Clark Carvings (woodenbearcarvings.co.uk) handles your information and uses cookies. If you have any questions, just get in touch.

Who we are

Andrew Clark Carvings is a small, family-run business based in Longhope, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. You can reach us at hello@woodenbearcarvings.co.uk or 07747 772261.

The information we collect

When you contact us — your name, email, phone number and message, so we can reply. These are sent to us through our form provider, Formspree.
When you place an order — your name, email, phone number and delivery address, and your order details. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
Analytics — if you accept cookies, Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data (pages viewed, device, general location) to help us improve the site. This only runs with your consent.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use two kinds:

Essential — needed for the site to work, such as remembering your basket and processing a secure payment through Stripe. These are always on and don’t require consent.
Analytics (optional) — Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, only after you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and you can still browse and shop normally.

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link (also in the footer).

Who we share information with

We only share information with the services that help us run the site, and only as needed:

Stripe — secure payment processing.
Google Analytics — anonymous website analytics (with your consent).
Formspree — delivering contact-form messages to us.
Resend / Microsoft — sending and receiving our order and enquiry emails.

We never sell your information.

How long we keep it

We keep order and enquiry information for as long as we need it to fulfil your order and meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop using it. Just email hello@woodenbearcarvings.co.uk and we’ll help. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
