Dougie is a barn owl carved with his head turned slightly towards you, giving him a curious, attentive look. His heart-shaped face, black eyes and long beak stand out cleanly against the pale cedar, while his folded wings are carved in deep, overlapping feather ridges with darker shaded tips.
He perches on a dark stained log base with bark texture carved in, his talons gripping the cut top. At 700mm tall, Dougie is a tall, slim piece that suits a gatepost, wall or garden border. Like every carving we make, he’s chainsaw carved from cedar in the Forest of Dean and is one of a kind, making a distinctive handmade garden ornament or gift.
Let Dougie bring a touch of nature’s wisdom to your home!

Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Place outside in FULL SHADE on a well drained spot.
This Owl is cut from a log which will over time dry out – cracking may occur and this should be viewed as a feature and not a fault.
To significantly reduce the risk of cracking please place your sculpture outside in full shade on a well drained spot.
In subsequent years the sculpture should be treated with preservative to ensure a prolonged life.
