Gizmo is a hand carved long eared owl with a curious, slightly quizzical look, his head angled to one side and his amber eyes fixed on whoever walks past. Two upright ear tufts rise above a softly feathered face, and the one dark eye patch around his left eye gives him a cheeky, characterful stare that sets him apart from the other owls we carve.
His round chest is scooped by hand into rows of rounded feather marks, his shoulders are cut in layered, flowing feather ridges, and a long, tapered tail trails down towards the bark-carved log base he perches on. Stained a rich russet brown and standing 650mm tall, Gizmo is a smaller wooden owl sculpture that suits a patio table, porch step, garden wall or flower bed. Like every carving we make, he is chainsaw carved from cedar in the Forest of Dean and is one of a kind, a handmade garden ornament or gift for anyone who loves owls.
Let Gizmo bring a touch of nature’s wisdom to your home!

This Owl is cut from a log which will over time dry out – cracking may occur and this should be viewed as a feature and not a fault.
To significantly reduce the risk of cracking please place your sculpture outside in full shade on a well drained spot.
In subsequent years the sculpture should be treated with preservative to ensure a prolonged life.
