Roy the Barn Owl
In stock — ready to shipRoy is a broad, chunky barn owl sculpture with a quietly inquisitive look, his head turned a touch to the side so his black eyes catch you from within a heart-shaped face. The facial disc is combed in fine lines around a long, tilted beak, while the body is left in the warm golden tone of natural cedar.
What sets Roy apart is his wings: deep, layered feather ridges burnt jet black, so the dark scorched edges stand out boldly against the pale, hand-gouged chest and back. The long tail tapers to a point, and his strong talons grip a wide, ringed log top above a bark-carved base. At 660mm tall and 300mm across, he is a sturdy, substantial wooden owl for a gatepost, patio, front step or garden wall. Like every carving we make, Roy is chainsaw carved in the Forest of Dean and is one of a kind, a handmade garden ornament or gift for an owl lover.
Let Roy bring a touch of nature’s wisdom to your home!

Care Instructions
Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Place outside in FULL SHADE on a well drained spot.
This Owl is cut from a log which will over time dry out – cracking may occur and this should be viewed as a feature and not a fault.
To significantly reduce the risk of cracking please place your sculpture outside in full shade on a well drained spot.
In subsequent years the sculpture should be treated with preservative to ensure a prolonged life.
